Chamber Hosts Business Readiness Summit Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026
The Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce will host a regional Business Readiness Summit on April 20, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center (PAEC). The summit is designed to equip businesses with the tools, insights, and strategies needed to capitalize on the economic opportunities surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Seattle.
This half-day event will bring together regional leaders, industry experts, and public safety officials to prepare businesses to welcome a global audience. Sessions will cover key topics including practical tips for destination events, customer service excellence, cultural sensitivity, emergency preparedness, transportation access, business safety, and more.
Featured speakers include representatives from the Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026 Local Organizing Committee, professionals from the hospitality, security, and education, as well as Sound Transit, South King Fire, the Federal Way Police Department. Attendees will gain practical insights on leveraging social media, preparing frontline staff, and maximizing visibility during high-traffic events.
The Summit will close with a presentation from the City on its three-day community festival, “Kicking It Federal Way,” June 19-21.
“This is a great opportunity for our South King County region,” said Rebecca Martin, CEO, Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce. “Major destination events like the FIFA World Cup bring an influx of visitors, energy, and spending power.”
“By enhancing customer experience, understanding global audiences, and strengthening operations, businesses are positioned to capture new revenue that extend well beyond any major event itself,” she said
In addition to a range of summit resources, participants also will receive a discount for an online training session for a workforce certificate in customer service through the Chamber’s partnership with the International Association of Workforce Professionals.
Registration is open to any business, with early bird pricing available through April 13. Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are also available for organizations looking to showcase their services and connect with local businesses preparing for 2026.
Registration is open online HERE. For sponsorship opportunities, contact the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce, 253-838-2605. For information on the Chamber, visit fedwaychamber.com. #
