New at Highline: 4-Year Degree in Integrated Design If you have ever opened a door that has a lever-shaped handle or viewed safety instructions that rely on pictographs rather than words, then you have experienced universal design. Design choices that accommodate the greatest range of users are more equitable, serving people with diverse abilities. Emily Lardner to Join Highline As Interim VP Dr. Emily Lardner will join Highline College as interim vice president, overseeing the Academic Affairs division. She will fill the role currently held by Dr. Jeff Wagnitz, who is retiring at the end of June after 11 years in the position and nearly 19 years at the college.
