Looking to expand your reach to customers and clients? In this changing economic landscape, finding new customers for your business can be tricky and the right digital resources can help you reach the marketplace.
King County Library System has a free research tool--- and all you need is a library card! Formerly known as Reference USA, Data Axle can provide you with the most up-to-date business and consumer data available. This workshop will walk through specific tools for B2B and B2C searches.
Data Axle gives your company access to a database that allows your company to:
- Find jobs by job skills, location, and industry
- Find business opportunities
- Locate companies nationwide
- Research business executives
- View historical market trends
- Track down addresses and phone numbers
- Discover news articles for research
Meet the Instructor
Megan Willan is an Adult Services Librarian with the King County Library System serving the Woodmont branch library. She has a Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington and 15 years of experience working in public, academic and special libraries. Her special library experience includes a year spent cataloging financial information for a hedge fund of funds. She is a member of KCLS's economic empowerment programming team. Megan is passionate about helping the community find and use all the amazing information and services available from the library.
