The Chamber welcomes Anthony Anton, President and CEO of the Washington Hospitality Association as the keynote speaker at our monthly meeting in September.
The Washington Hospitality Association is the state’s leading hospitality trade group, representing more than 6,000 members of the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industry. The Washington Restaurant Association (established 1929) and the Washington Lodging Association (established 1920) joined forces in 2016 to create the Washington Hospitality Association that supports and advocates for restaurateurs, hoteliers and related hospitality industry professionals in the state capitol and communities statewide.
Speaker Bio
Anthony Anton is president and CEO of the Washington Hospitality Association. Since returning to the association in 2004 after a stint as manager of Boeing’s state relations in Washington, he has successfully marshaled the industry’s efforts to support important legislation and increased the association’s grassroots advocacy efforts. Mr. Anton’s family has been in the restaurant business for more than 70 years, lending him a broad understanding of industry issues. During his time as CEO, the Washington Hospitality Association has had its highest retention and member satisfaction rates in history, expanded and strengthened its programs to support small business and become the primary source of information to Washington restaurants and hotels.
